I had the honor of taking part in TCU’s annual Trombone Summit as a performer and clinician. Each year the Summit, under the extraordinary leadership of TCU trombone professor Dr. David Begnoche, raises funds for a worthy charitable organization;, and this year’s event, appropriately entitled “TromBonAppétit,” focused upon Pediatric Healthcare at the Cook Children’s Hospital. Composer Haley Woodrow created a wonderful work by the same name, which featured Alex Iles, Steve Wiest, Bill Reichenbach, and me with the TCU Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Joe Eckert. It was a fantastic weekend of great music, great fellowship (including barbecue!), and a great cause! Special thanks to XOBrass for their support.
