In January I’ll have the privilege of playing once again in Michael Waldrop’s great big band appearing at the Jazz Educators Network annual conference in Reno in January 2019. We’ll be playing the music of the most recent album recorded by the band, entitled “Origin Suite” and released on the Origin Records label.
Once again I’ve been invited to perform with my good friend and colleague Charles Lazarus on his Merry & Bright Christmas Concert at Minnesota Orchestra Hall on Saturday, December 15. It’s a terrific concert with an all-star band, terrific vocal soloists and Charles’ sizzling trumpet solos. A great time will be had by all!

What a wonderful group, and what a great company of fellow composers to be associated with! […]
I had the wonderful opportunity to play in the big band of Bill Cunliffe, noted Los Angeles-based Pianist, Composer, and Band Leader. We performed music from his Bachanalia CD, terrific renditions of classical pieces for big band. The band was full of stars like Randy Brecker, Clay Jenkins, Joe La Barbera, former Woody Herman bandmates […]
