Festival Fanfare for Christmas was commissioned by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra in 1997 and recorded on their Delos release Dallas Christmas Gala in 2006. It features 4 trumpets in the orchestra along with Organ and optional Handbell choir, and is based upon two well-known Christmas carols, O Come, All Ye Faithful, and Joy to the World.

Hark the Herald Trumpets Sing is a fanfare treatment of the classic Christmas carol Hark! The Herald Angels Sing. It was commissioned by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra in 2001 to feature their four stellar trumpet performers playing Herald Trumpets.

Jingle Bells Fantasy (Purchase) | $85 + $15 shipping
Jingle Bells Fantasy for Orchestra was adapted in 2022 from the original Wind Ensemble work commissioned by Jerry Junkin and the Dallas Winds in 1997. Conductor Dr. Junkin requested an arrangement of Jingle Bells that utilized “everything in the ensemble including the kitchen sink!”

Bellsong Fantasy was commissioned by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra in 1996 and recorded on their Delos release Dallas Christmas Gala in 2006. It features Handbell choir and SATB Choir. The work is based upon the traditional Ukrainian folk carol, with a new original text penned by Mr. Wasson.

Song of the Angels (RENTAL)
Song of the Angels was commissioned by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra in 1996 to showcase the Dallas Children’s Chorus, and the renowned Lay Family Organ at the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas where the orchestra performs. Includes SATB Choir and Children’s Choir parts; in the absence of Children’s voices their part may be sung the the choir sopranos. Master copies of all choir parts are provided with the rental at no charge with the allowance for the renting organization to copy as may choir parts as needed.

Bring a Torch, Jeannette Isabella: Soprano Solo (rental)
The orchestral setting of this beloved carol was originally written for the Texas Boys Choir for their Moulin D’Or release of Bells and Angels. Mr. Wasson adapted this orchestration to feature Soprano solo alone with orchestra, and it was premiered by Hector Guzman and the Irving Symphony Orchestra, featuring Laurie Granlund as soprano soloist.

This arrangement of Leroy Anderson’s beloved classic Sleigh Ride was scored for large brass ensemble for a commission by the Millar Brass, and featured on their Koss CD release Ornaments. It is a faithful reproduction of the original orchestra work, utilizing various brass instruments with and without mutes to achieve the various colors.
