Gilded Morning was commissioned by the Indiana Bandmasters Association and premiered by Indiana’s ten All-District Honor Bands on November 19, 2023.

The work based upon the hymn When Morning Gilds the Skies, also commonly known by its refrain text “May Jesus Christ Be Praised.”
